My first shoot in March was with a model I’ve worked with many times before, and got some fantastic images to show from our shoots, Nico Dee. However, it wasn’t just Nico this time as Bane (her dog) was also in the studio for the shoot. Another wonderful shoot with great images of Nico, Bane and both of them together.
Up next was an event with Meadows Camera Club, and our model for the evening was Amy. No specific theme, but we went for a darker look to the images and ended up getting the smoke machine out for the final setup.
Two ‘Creative Photography Events’ up next with the first being a wire wool spinning session. Continuing on from previous events last month as there were a couple of events setup due to the amount of people wanting to attend. Again, I kind of let everyone else get the shot which was being setup and I moved around a bit more to add some variety to the images.
The next event was titled ‘Let’s Get Messy’, using lots of paint and working with models Liss and Katie. Starting from relatively clean with no paint, all the way up to having both models together and practically pouring paint over each other, it was a fun shoot.
There was a 4 day event called ‘Light Up Leicester’ but unfortunately I was working during all 4 days, so one evening after work I drove into town and took a wander around to see what it was all about. I only took a portable camera with me, but managed to see all the displays.
Finally for March, the Photography Social had a military themed night, working with Aaron and Klaudia. We had a few different setups, right from more of a simple portrait setup to almost recreating the look of being out in the jungle, and also pouring water to make it look like they were out in the rain.
That took me upto the middle of March when unfortunately things came to an abrupt halt for pretty much everyone. Hopefully it won’t be too long before things can get back to some type of normality. Stay safe everyone.
