Back to the more bullet point oriented posts for a bit, as things are starting to open up and I’m back out at a few more events, so time is limited.
I worked with Jadah on a shoot based around coloured gels. Building on a shoot I did last month, still experimenting on some setups and seeing what works and what I can change to improve things
A few shoots for my headshot project, working with Poppy, Taylor and Nathan. Same as previous shoots on this, working in a location close by and looking for around 3-4 different backdrops locally to work with. We even managed to get a couple of images of Nathan wearing his face mask, just to show when these were taken
I attended one event at The Attic and this was working with Renea on an implied fabric theme
A couple of events with The Photography Social, one with an Action Man theme, as PGD has both an Action Man and Barbie full size box available to use. Then we had Jadah for a caged Harley Quinn shoot. For one of the setups on this shoot I went with a more cartoon editing style to try and suit the style.
At Meadows camera club, we were outside again for a shoot at a skatepark. As the camera I mainly use isn’t that fast, I took along my older camera but that can shoot at around 10 frames per second I think, so I thought that would be better to capture the bikes and skaters
Creative Photography Events usually have things on every other week, but to try and catch up with rescheduled events, they’ve been a bit more regular, and to try and allow everyone to attend but keep numbers down, they have even put on extra events due to social distancing restrictions in place. I went along to 4 events this month.
First one had an urban dance theme where we went into town and split up into two groups, working with Katie and Ben. Lots of places to work with and in our small group we had many options but decided on outside Curve and then around the Cathedral.
Next up was an old school Hollywood theme with Emily, then an androgynous theme working with Lady Viper who introduced a new character ‘Feenix’. Last one was outside at a local industrial estate, working with Liss and Katie on a grunge ballet theme.
Finally for August, I had my own shoot with Lady Viper and we worked on a couple of my projects, even combining the two in the middle. Starting out on my sheer fabrics project and then moving on to my ongoing coloured gels project
